YAKUTAT CITY AND BOROUGH, AK — A 5.2 magnitude quake was detected near Yakutat Sunday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 4:20 a.m. (9:20 p.m. local time). The epicenter was situated roughly 71 miles north of Yakutat, at a depth of 5 miles. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.4 event, but later downgraded it to 5.2.
