According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.3 magnitude quake jolted near Ozernovskiy at midday on Wednesday.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 00:23 UTC (11:23 local time). The epicenter was situated roughly 150 km east-southeast of Ozernovskiy, at a depth of 35 km.
