Update: Earthquake measuring 5.0 rattles area near Kusapín, Panama on Feb. 28

KUSAPÍN DISTRICT, Ngäbe-Buglé Comarca — A 5.0 magnitude quake shook near Kusapín around midday Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor hit the region at 17:11 UTC (12:11 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was roughly 33 km north of Kusapín and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
