NAITASIRI, Central Division — A 6.0 magnitude quake was registered near the Fiji Islands Sunday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 07:43 UTC (19:43 local time). The epicenter was situated south of the Fiji Islands, at a depth of 636 km.
