Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake jolts near Ternate, Indonesia on April 13

A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Ternate on Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 06:23 UTC (15:23 local time). The epicenter was about 96 km west-northwest of Ternate, at a depth of 53 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.2 but later downgraded to 5.1.
