A 5.1 magnitude quake was recorded close to Pagudpud Friday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 08:14 UTC (16:14 local time). The epicenter was situated about 23 km northwest of Pagudpud, at a depth of 34 km.
