Earthquake of magnitude 5.0 reported near Bitung, Indonesia on April 17

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred near Bitung on Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 23:27 UTC (08:27 local time), a tremor struck the region at a depth of 35 km, with its epicenter approximately 118 km east of Bitung.
