Update: Earthquake of 5.3 magnitude detected near Abepura, Indonesia on April 20

SARMI REGENCY, Papua — A 5.3 magnitude quake shook close to Abepura on Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor jolted at 18:47 UTC (03:47 local time), with its epicenter roughly 172 km west-northwest of Abepura and a depth of 10 km.
