According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake shook near Vilyuchinsk Sunday night.

The tremor, which hit the area at 11:01 UTC (22:01 local time), was centered about 181 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk. It occurred at a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.0 event, but later upgraded it to 5.1.
