The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Vilyuchinsk Tuesday morning.

The tremor shook the area at 18:18 UTC (05:18 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated about 158 km southeast of Vilyuchinsk.
