Update: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude detected near Malango, Solomon Islands on May 11

A 5.2 magnitude quake hit near Malango on Monday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which struck the area at 09:48 UTC (20:48 local time), was centered roughly 72 km northwest of Malango. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
