NORTH ASSAM DIVISION, AS — Sunday afternoon, a 5.5 magnitude quake was recorded near Udalguri, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor hit the area at 11:11 UTC (16:41 local time). It occurred at a depth of 29 km with the epicenter located approximately 11 km east-southeast of Udalguri. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.9 event, but later downgraded it to 5.5.
