A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Balangonan on Tuesday around midnight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 16:49 UTC (00:49 local time), a tremor jolted the region at a depth of 79 km, with its epicenter roughly 1 km south-southwest of Balangonan.
