Update: June 28 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake registered close to Port-Olry, Vanuatu

A 5.1 magnitude quake jolted close to Port-Olry on Sunday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor struck the area at 07:05 UTC (18:05 local time). It occurred at a depth of 180 km with the epicenter approximately 32 km northeast of Port-Olry. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.2 but later downgraded to 5.1.
