Update: Seismic activity on June 24 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake near Karpathos, Greece registered

A 5.0 magnitude quake rattled close to Karpathos on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the area at 08:25 UTC (10:25 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter about 26 km south of Karpathos. The magnitude was originally reported as 4.9 but later upgraded to 5.0.
