Update: Earthquake measuring 5.1 hits area near East Pacific Rise on Dec. 6

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near East Pacific Rise Saturday morning.

The tremor, which jolted the region at 15:12 UTC (07:12 local time), was centered south of East Pacific Rise. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
