Kettle Fire initially started 7:50 a.m. Aug. 31 in Fresno County, California.

After being active for eight days, it has burned 23.8 acres of federal land managed by the National Park Service, an increase of six acres since the last update. It is believed that the fire was naturally caused. There is currently no information on the containment of the fire.
