SURIGAO DEL NORTE, Caraga — A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Alegria on Friday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which jolted the area at 09:22 UTC (17:22 local time), was centered approximately 1 km north of Alegria. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
