A 6.0 magnitude quake was detected close to Vilyuchinsk Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which struck the area at 14:14 UTC (01:14 local time), was centered about 156 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk. It occurred at a depth of 46 km.
