A 5.2 magnitude quake was registered near Vilyuchinsk Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
At 14:18 UTC (01:18 local time), the region was jolted by a tremor. The earthquake shook at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 165 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.3 event, but later downgraded it to 5.2.
