On Wednesday at 11:18 a.m. an updated heat advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid between noon and 9 p.m. The advisory is for Hill, Navarro, Freestone, Lampasas, Coryell, Bell, McLennan, Falls, Limestone, Leon, Milam and Robertson counties.

The NWS adds, “Heat index values up to 110 degrees expected.”

“Hot temperatures and high humidity will increase the risk for heat-related illnesses to occur, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities,” explains the NWS.
