The National Weather Service issued an updated blowing dust advisory at 2:05 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 10 p.m. for Salt Basin and Rio Grande Valley of Eastern El Paso/Western Hudspeth counties.

The NWS adds, “Visibility between one quarter mile and one mile in blowing dust expected. West wind gusts 30 to 40 mph.”

“Hazardous driving conditions due to reduced visibility,” comments the NWS. “Motorists should not drive into an area of blowing dust. Remember, Pull Aside, Stay Alive.”
