5.0 magnitude earthquake rattles close to Angoram, Papua New Guinea on Aug. 13

ANGORAM DISTRICT, East Sepik Province — A 5.0 magnitude quake jolted close to Angoram on Thursday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 12:44 UTC (22:44 local time), with its epicenter roughly 45 km south-southwest of Angoram and a depth of 134 km.
