A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Mid-Atlantic Ridge on Wednesday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which hit the area at 21:36 UTC (20:36 local time), was centered south of Mid-Atlantic Ridge. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
