LIFOU, Loyalty Islands Province — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred southeast of the Loyalty Islands on Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor shook the area at 18:20 UTC (05:20 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter southeast of the Loyalty Islands of southeast of the Loyalty Islands.
