SARANGANI, SOCCSKSARGEN — A 5.1 magnitude quake jolted near Baliton on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A tremor shook the area at 18:09 UTC (02:09 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was approximately 5 km east-northeast of Baliton and occurred at a depth of 43 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.0 event, but later upgraded it to 5.1.
