Update: May 13 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake registered close to Izu Islands, Japan region

A 5.1 magnitude quake hit near Izu Islands on Wednesday around midday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor shook the area at 03:08 UTC (12:08 local time). It occurred at a depth of 485 km with the epicenter of Izu Islands.
