Earthquake measuring 5.0 hits area close to Kandrian, Papua New Guinea on April 16

A 5.0 magnitude quake struck near Kandrian on Thursday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the region at 05:01 UTC (15:01 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter approximately 138 km southeast of Kandrian.
