Update: Earthquake strikes region near Sukumo, Japan on Feb. 25 – 5.2 magnitude registered

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Sukumo Wednesday afternoon.

At 09:07 UTC (18:07 local time), the area was hit by a tremor. The earthquake jolted at a depth of 17 km, with its epicenter approximately 96 km south of Sukumo.
