A 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded near Bantogon Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 15:58 UTC (23:58 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated roughly 39 km west-southwest of Bantogon and occurred at a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later downgraded it to 5.0.
