According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to Vilyuchinsk Wednesday evening.

A tremor hit the area at 09:14 UTC (20:14 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located about 194 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and occurred at a depth of 35 km.
