Saturday morning, a 5.1 magnitude quake was registered close to Weather Station, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor jolted the area at 04:53 UTC (05:53 local time). It occurred at a depth of 54 km with the epicenter situated about 19 km east-southeast of Weather Station.

Weak shaking was recorded, and people in several cities — including Qrendi, Rabat, Naxxar, Mellieħa and Syracuse — reported feeling the tremor, according to the USGS DYFI report.
