A 5.5 magnitude quake was recorded close to Mauritius – Reunion region Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which hit the region at 03:22 UTC (07:22 local time), was centered of Mauritius – Reunion region. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
