DANIEL CAMPOS, Potosi Department — A 5.3 magnitude quake was detected close to Colchane Saturday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor struck the area at 20:30 UTC (16:30 local time). It occurred at a depth of 151 km with the epicenter located approximately 108 km south-southeast of Colchane. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.2 event, but later upgraded it to 5.3.
