Around midday Tuesday, a 5.0 magnitude quake was reported close to Mid-Atlantic Ridge, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 13:45 UTC (12:45 local time). The epicenter was situated south of Mid-Atlantic Ridge, at a depth of 10 km.
