A 5.2 magnitude quake was recorded close to Yamada Saturday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the area at 20:29 UTC (06:29 local time). It occurred at a depth of 30 km with the epicenter located about 115 km east of Yamada. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.3 event, but later downgraded it to 5.2.
