Friday afternoon, a 5.1 magnitude quake was recorded close to Drake Passage, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor hit the area at 20:51 UTC (16:51 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated of Drake Passage.

In the past week, another magnitude 7.6 tremor was centered in the region. The event was reported near Drake Passage too, prior to this quake.
