Sunday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was detected close to Vilyuchinsk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor struck the area at 15:08 UTC (02:08 local time). The epicenter was situated roughly 175 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk, at a depth of 35 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.3 but later downgraded to 5.2.
