Update: 5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts close to South Sandwich Islands region on Sept. 20

On Saturday around midday, a 5.2 magnitude quake was detected near South Sandwich Islands region, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck the area at 15:31 UTC (13:31 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated of South Sandwich Islands region.
