The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.4 magnitude quake occurred close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Thursday morning.

The tremor struck at 19:19 UTC (06:19 local time), with its epicenter located about 146 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a depth of 32 km.
