According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 7.5 magnitude quake struck close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Saturday afternoon.
At 02:37 UTC (14:37 local time), the area was slammed by a tremor. The earthquake rocked at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter approximately 118 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
