Update: Earthquake of 5.1 magnitude detected close to Fais, Micronesia on Sept. 4

FAIS, Yap — around midday Thursday, a 5.1 magnitude quake was registered near Fais, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor jolted the area at 04:37 UTC (13:37 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated roughly 258 km northeast of Fais and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
