Update: Earthquake strikes region near Hihifo, Tonga on Aug. 11 – 5.1 magnitude reported

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Hihifo Monday afternoon.

The tremor shook the area at 06:37 UTC (18:37 local time). It occurred at a depth of 130 km with the epicenter located approximately 93 km south-southwest of Hihifo.
