A 5.1 magnitude quake was detected near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor hit the area at 15:43 UTC (02:43 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located roughly 141 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
