Update: 5.1 magnitude earthquake shakes close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia on Aug. 3

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.1 magnitude quake struck near Vilyuchinsk Sunday morning.

A tremor hit the area at 19:38 UTC (06:38 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 170 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
