A 5.1 magnitude quake was detected close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Sunday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor struck the area at 19:27 UTC (06:27 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated roughly 168 km southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and occurred at a depth of 17 km.
