A 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor shook the area at 17:55 UTC (04:55 local time). The epicenter was located about 146 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 10 km.
