A 8.8 magnitude quake was recorded close to 2025 Kamchatka Peninsula Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 23:24 UTC (10:24 local time), the region was shaken by a tremor. The earthquake hit at a depth of 35 km, with its epicenter of 2025 Kamchatka Peninsula. The magnitude was originally reported as 8.0 but later upgraded to 8.8.
