A 5.4 magnitude quake was recorded near Vilyuchinsk Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck at 05:30 UTC (16:30 local time), with its epicenter located approximately 193 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.3 but later upgraded to 5.4.
