Update: Earthquake jolts region close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on July 25 – 5.2 magnitude reported

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.2 magnitude quake shook near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Friday night.

At 11:13 UTC (22:13 local time), the area was hit by a tremor. The earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 146 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
